My Connection to Play
Rewarding Relationships
There should be a class on building relationships. It should be as constant as Math, English and Science. You should take it until you are no longer in school anymore. I'm talking, PHD level Relationships. Relationships of any kind are all around us. We have relationships with clothes, food, work, traffic, our cars, our belongings, longings, bodies, families and friends. We nurture some, neglect others and always reflect us in the end. This is why, there should be a class on good relationships, mandatory.
My most important relationships are with myself and my family. These people, my husband, my children, my sister, my aunt, this is where I draw wit, wisdom, and strength. I can do anything with these people constantly around me. They keep me centered, thinking, hip, on top of things, laughing, in good health, and appreciated. They are my rocks. They encourage me to finish school, to give my best and to learn all I can. I in turn, do the same for them. We are a tight nit little circle, but we are effective. I think everyone needs what I have. These relationships are essential and I think a good relationship can help everyone.
There needs to be a class, on relationships. How to reciprocate, how to be thankful, how to respect, and be respected, how to date, how to acknowledge are how to just be in a relationship. We seem to have forgotten the ease a which we can gain friends, call each other and agree to meet somewhere. Technology takes away the spontaneity of a good conversation and chance meetings. We are forgetting, so we need a class. I would go.

Doretta,
ReplyDeleteHello!
I really enjoyed reading your post, it was very warm and welcoming. I agree there does need to be class on relationships. A lot of people are not sure how to reciprocate and respect relationships, some people abuse them and use you until they can't find anything else to take. Maintaining relationships is hard, especially in todays day and age. We can log on to facebook and click "like" without hearing a voice or seeing a person for years. That's what I appreciate about the relationships that I hold dear, being able to physically see and talk to people away from a screen. We all need that. I would go to that class as well.
Kind Regards,
Sherria Green :)
