Defintions week3

Definitions of culture

1.  son - culture  is living life in a way that is comfortable to you.  Diversity is  respecting what is comfortable to other people.

 

2.  daughter -culture is something we all agree on I think that America's dominant culture is the youth

every time one looks up the images are young fit and shiny. Things must be expensive new and

flashy.The dominant culture is fast,and will pass one by who can't keep up.Diversity is ones compassion and willingness to live in cultures different than their own.

 

3.  friend   Trying  to be regarded in majority that rules socio-economics in society.


These answers are different from the book because of personal feeling and life experiences from day

to day in our society. These answers impacted my own understanding by learning and adapting to diversity.and cultures, because their are so many types of cultures and diversity where every day is a learning opportunity.

    Thank you for sharing the 3 people you chose to speak with regarding culture and diversity. Even their definition are quite different from each other. Their definition comes from their experiences, their own culture and diversity, and what their own personal beliefs are about culture and diversity. Culture and diversity are the key role in taking the time to learn and understand other people we are in contact on a daily basis. I realized with this assignment that importance of culture and diversity to all and how the impact our culture and diversity has on others.

  2. Thank you for sharing the 3 people that you asked about the culture and diversity. While reading your definitions you can tell that they choose a definition based on what they live each and every day. You can tell that they are all different but deep down they all are saying the same thing.
